Tips For Doing An Outbound Message Campaign

When it comes to a fast, reliable, and cost-effective way to engage your audience, outbound messages are the way to go. Whether you are delivering a voice message or sending out mass texts, you can reach an audience quickly. It’s no secret; message broadcasts are sometimes considered an inconvenience. How else did “robocall” become a dirty word?

Tips To Doing An Outbound Message Broadcast

Appropriately done, voice broadcasts can do a lot of good for you and your audience.

Avoid Trouble at all Costs

According to the FCC, the number one source of customer complaints comes from robocalls and telemarketing calls. US Congress has even asked the FCC to implement protections and levy fines. This protects consumers from unwanted calls or texts. If a company were to spam their audience, they would be subject to penalties.

The time of day a message goes out is also essential. No one wants to get a call in the middle of the night, or even in the middle of dinner. Fortunately, IVR Tech Group can help you figure out the best times to reach your audience.

Verify Message Settings For Your Campaign

The FCC is protecting people from unwanted calls or texts. By verifying that all the members on your list are aware that notifications may come from time to time, you make them aware that they could receive messages from time to time. For example, if a storm is coming schools may need to shut down for the day to assure everyone’s safety. A blast message can make sure to get this information out quickly. Usually, the school would be able to know about this in advance and be able to send out a call at an appropriate time.

Your Audience is Always Right

Don’t have your message sent out according to whatever method you prefer, but the preferences of the audience. Some people may prefer a voice broadcast because they like the idea of a phone call alerting them. Others may find it more convenient to glance at their phone and read a text. Individual audience members should be able to a message based on their preferences. Fortunately, Compass Broadcast can allow your message to match the method your audience members prefer: automated call, a text message, or even an email. Most importantly, let your audience opt out if they don’t want to receive automated messages in any form. Otherwise, you’re just harassing your customer base.

Assure Quality Control

The best possible way to make sure that your message is correctly sent out is to include your number on the list. While Compass Broadcast comes with detailed reports that will let you know that your messages were properly sent out. Is the message you’re sending out clear? Many eyes and ears will be receiving them. Why not include your own. That way you’ll be sure to know if there is a problem and can make a quick correction, if necessary.
